Afriarts Star Awards & Recognition (AFSAR)
1. Introduction
Welcome to Afriarts Awards (AFSAR). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and participation in the Afriarts Awards, including all entries, voting, promotions, and activities associated with the platform.
By accessing, registering, submitting an entry, or voting, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Definitions
- “AFSAR” / “Organizer” refers to Afriarts Awards and its management team.
- “Participant” / “Nominee” refers to any individual or entity entering the awards.
- “User” / “Voter” refers to any person participating in voting activities.
- “Entry” refers to any submission made into the awards.
- “Boost Votes” refers to paid promotional votes that increase a nominee’s visibility and vote count.
- “Double Votes” refers to limited-time promotions where votes count as two (2) instead of one (1).
- “Referral Votes” refers to votes earned or influenced through referral links or codes.
3. Eligibility
- Participation is open to individuals who meet category-specific requirements.
- Users must provide accurate and valid information.
- The Organizer reserves the right to verify all users and disqualify any participant or voter who provides false details.
4. Registration & Entry Submission
- Entries must be submitted through the official platform within the specified timeframe.
- All submitted content must be original and owned by the participant.
- Duplicate or fraudulent entries will be removed.
5. Voting System Overview
AFSAR operates a hybrid voting system which may include:
- Paid Votes
- Boost Votes
- Double Vote Campaigns
- Referral-Based Voting
The Organizer reserves the right to modify or structure voting systems as necessary.
6. Paid Voting
- Paid votes can be purchased to support a nominee.
- All payments made for votes are final and non-refundable.
7. Boost Votes (Promotional Voting)
- Boost Votes are premium voting packages designed to increase a nominee’s vote count.
- Boost Votes are processed automatically once payment is confirmed.
- Boost purchases are non-refundable, regardless of outcome.
- The Organizer does not guarantee that Boost Votes will result in winning.
8. Double Votes Campaign
- During specific promotional periods, AFSAR may activate Double Votes, where each vote counts as two (2).
- Double Vote campaigns are time-limited and apply only within the stated duration.
- Votes cast outside the promotional period will remain standard (1 vote = 1 count).
- The Organizer reserves the right to start, stop, or extend Double Vote campaigns at its discretion.
9. Referral Voting System
- Users may receive unique referral links or codes to invite others to vote.
- Referral rewards (if applicable) may include bonus votes or incentives.
- Self-referrals, fake accounts, or manipulation of referral systems are strictly prohibited.
- The Organizer reserves the right to invalidate any suspicious referral activity.
10. Vote Integrity & Fraud Prevention
- The Organizer actively monitors voting activities to ensure fairness.
- The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Use of bots, scripts, or automated voting systems
- Multiple account creation for vote manipulation
- Payment fraud or chargebacks
- Any artificial inflation of votes
- Any violation may result in:
- Removal of votes
- Disqualification of nominee
- Suspension or banning of user accounts
11. Vote Adjustment Rights
- AFSAR reserves the right to:
- Audit all votes
- Remove invalid or suspicious votes
- Adjust vote counts where irregularities are detected
All decisions regarding vote adjustments are final.
12. Judging & Winner Selection
- Winners may be determined through a combination of:
- Public voting
- Judges’ scores
- Voting may contribute partially or fully depending on category rules.
- Judges’ decisions remain final.
13. Payments & Refund Policy
- All payments for votes, Boost Votes, or promotional features are non-refundable.
- Chargebacks or payment disputes may lead to account suspension and vote removal.
14. Disqualification
Participants or users may be disqualified for:
- Vote manipulation
- Referral abuse
- Fraudulent payments
- Violation of any Terms
15. Intellectual Property
- Participants retain ownership of their content.
- By participating, you grant AFSAR the right to use submitted materials for promotion and marketing.
16. Media & Publicity
- Participants agree to the use of their name, image, and content for promotional purposes without compensation.
17. Limitation of Liability
- AFSAR is not responsible for:
- Network failures
- Payment gateway issues
- Technical disruptions affecting voting
Participation is at your own risk.
18. Cancellation or Modification
- The Organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel any part of the awards or voting system at any time.
19. Privacy
- User data will be handled in accordance with AFSAR’s Privacy Policy.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
21. Amendments
AFSAR may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
